The Director of Flight Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day flight operations, leading a team of professionals in planning, executing, optimizing flight schedules and the company’s training processes and procedures. The role will ensure compliance with international aviation
regulations, company policies, and safety standards. This position will also ensure all policies, procedures and training in respect of operational control regulatory and non-regulatory requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in flight operations management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of aviation safety.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field.
At least ten (10) years’ experience in flight operations management, with a minimum of five (5) years’ in a leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations and industry best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate large teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with flight scheduling, route planning, and operational optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with modern flight management software and technologies.
Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and regulatory compliance audits would be an asset.
