Pet-Friendly Travel

interCaribbean Airways offer pet friendly flights to safely accommodate your furry friends on your journey across the Caribbean with us.

The carriage of pets (not to include trained service dogs) may be carried subject to the operating aircraft on the route taken.  interCaribbean only carries dogs or cats.  All animals must travel in an appropriate travel crate/cage or pet carrier whether in the cabin or cargo hold.  

interCaribbean offers connecting flights across the region.  Travel may incur a change of plane or a transit stop depending on the origin and destination.  The traveler is responsible for reviewing and complying with the entry at the destination and the intransit requirements of the journey.

 

Pets in Cabin

The cat or dog accepted for travel in the Cabin must remain at all times in the soft sided carrier from boarding the aircraft until exiting the terminal at the destination.

  • The size limit is 15 lb maximum.
  • The animal needs to be able to sit, stand and turn around.
  • The carrier needs to have a water proof liner.
  • The animal needs to have appropriate vaccinations  to include rabies where required.

 

Pets in Hold 

The cat or dog accepted for travel in the Cargo hold amy only travel in a hard shell carrier with ventilated sides designed for the travel of pets.   The carriage of Pets in Hold is subject to space and load limits.  A Pet in hold does not receive priority over customer bags, and may be subject to denial of travel based on bulk limitations and or the size of the kennel that may incur bag displacement.  In case of denial of travel the customer will need to rebook.  We do not accept Pets in Hold travel alone as Cargo.

  • We offer 3 size price options for Small Dog, Medium Dog and Large Dog.
  • The animal needs to be able to sit, stand and turn around.
  • The carrier needs to have a water proof liner.
  • The animal needs to have appropriate vaccinations  to include rabies where required.

Restricted Dog Breeds in Turks & Caicos Islands

The Turks & Caicos Islands, Legal Notice 39 of 2003, signed by the Governor under Section 98 of the Customs Ordinance, restricts the following breeds of dogs from entrance into the Turks & Caicos Islands.
