The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, leadership experience, and a proven ability to drive safety, quality, and cost-efficiency initiatives. The Director of Maintenance will ensure the continuous airworthiness of the company aircraft and aircraft components, through satisfactory compliance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and modifications, based on applicable regulations, manufacturer manuals, maintenance programs, and operational safety policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications and licenses on ATR 42-500 or 72-212A series. are required.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least three (3) years in a leadership or management role in the aviation industry.
In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes, systems, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with a range of aircraft types and models in the interCaribbean fleet.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, manage complex projects, and foster a collaborative working environment.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance management systems and safety standards.
Proven experience in fleet management, maintenance scheduling, and performance optimization.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in maintenance software and other industry tools.
