As the Director of Quality and Safety, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the safety, quality assurance, and compliance functions across all operations. This role will ensure the company’s operations meet regulatory requirements and internal standards, driving a culture of continuous improvement and risk management within the organization.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Bachelor Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Safety Management) are a plus.
The Safety and Quality Manager (DSQA) holds, or has held, an ATPL or SCPL
license, preferably with, or has previously held, wide-ranging roles and experience as a Quality Manager in aviation for a minimum of three (3) years.
Exceptionally, an individual may not have a pilot background but will be required to demonstrate suitable academic and previous experience as a Safety and Quality Manager for a minimum of five (5) years with accredited auditing experience in several aviation disciplines.
A Certificate in Safety Management from a reputable provider of Safety
Management System (SMS) training.
A Certificate(s) in Quality Management and Auditing.
Experienced in conducting safety and quality audits covering at least 4 audits/year in an annual audit plan period.
In-depth knowledge of aviation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality assurance. Familiarity with aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, and flight safety protocols is essential.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and collaborate with various departments and senior management. Proficiency in data analysis, risk management, and incident investigation.
