Providenciales, Turks and Caicos – June 25, 2024 – In a significant step forward, interCaribbean Airways, in collaboration with The University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, proudly announces the creation of The Manville “Donnie” Gardiner Memorial Annual Scholarship. This new scholarship program honors the memory of Manville “Donnie” Gardiner, the late brother of our Chairman and Founder, Lyndon Gardiner. By nurturing the next generation of Caribbean aviation professionals, we celebrate his legacy and contribute to the development of the regional air transport industry.
Reflecting on the significance of this new scholarship, Lyndon Gardiner, Chairman of interCaribbean Airways, expressed, “The launch of The Manville “Donnie” Gardiner Memorial Annual Scholarship, in memory of my brother, alongside our partners at UWI Cave Hill, holds deep personal significance. This initiative is a cornerstone of our collaboration with UWI Cave Hill, aimed at not only supporting students financially but also offering them practical experience opportunities and fostering leadership within the aviation sector in the Caribbean.
