Cancellation and Refund

We understand that travel plans do not always go as expected. That is why we offer the flexibility of a full refund within 24 hours of booking on qualifying fares. Some fares are instant purchase and once purchased become non refundable. You can a refund depending on the fare conditions. You can find out whether your ticket is refundable, and under which conditions, in your booking confirmation email or on our website under Fare Families page.

Refund Policy

We offer free cancellation with a full refund for all qualified fare types. Bookings in fare class YINTNREF are not refundable and instant purchase. See fare families for applicable routes

  • The entire reservation must be cancelled – partial cancellations are not eligible.
  • The 24-hour period begins at the time the original booking was made.
  • If you rebook and then cancel within 24 hours, only the original ticket fare, any upgraded fare, taxes, and service fees are refundable. Rebooking fees are non-refundable.

Voluntary refunds apply when you choose to cancel your flight for personal reasons, not due to a disruption or cancellation initiated by the airline. These refunds are subject to the fare rules of your ticket.

Only tickets booked in Y Class (Flex Fare) are eligible for voluntary refunds. Bookings with fare class YINTNREF are non refundable and route specific conditions

  • Refund before flight: 100%
  • Refund after flight – International: $50 fee
  • Refund after flight – Domestic: $20 fee

All fare types qualify for a free cancellation and full refund if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.

Involuntary refunds apply when your flight is cancelled by interCaribbean Airways or when you are denied boarding due to reasons beyond your control. These refunds are not based on your personal choice but are the result of schedule disruptions or operational changes.

A customer whose flight is cancelled will receive the following options:

  • a) A full refund or re-accommodation on the next available flight at no additional fare cost.
  • b) A customer can request a full refund on a totally unused ticket, or a partial refund for the portion of the trip that was cancelled.

All involuntary refunds are processed according to interCaribbean Airways policies and applicable fare rules.

Eligible may be refunded for up to 1 year from the original date of issue.

Tickets issued more than 1 year ago are no longer refundable.

At interCaribbean, we are committed to making the refund process as smooth and transparent as possible. We offer a 7-day processing goal for all eligible refunds.

Refunds are issued using the same payment method originally used to purchase the ticket. If your original payment was made by cash or check, please allow up to 30 business days for the refund to be completed. In exceptional cases the process may take longer.

Your refund will be processed in the same currency used for the original ticket purchase.

After your refund has been approved and processed, the funds typically appear in your account within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
