interCaribbean Supports Rebuilding of Kings Primary School in Jamaica

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos – June 25, 2026 – interCaribbean Airways is proud to announce a donation of $13,440 USD to support the rebuilding of Kings Primary & Infant School in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, Jamaica, following the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

The initiative began with generous donations from interCaribbean Airways customers and supporters, who contributed $6,720 USD toward Jamaica’s recovery. To strengthen the impact of this support, interCaribbean Airways matched the full amount raised, bringing the total donation to $13,440 USD.

The donation will be made in partnership with the Sandals Foundation and will support the restoration of the school library, including books and shelving.

Kings Primary & Infant School currently serves 195 students between the ages of 3 and 12, supported by 18 teachers and administrators. The rebuilding work includes four classrooms, administrative spaces, the computer lab, and the library, with completion scheduled for the start of the school year on September 1.

“This donation represents the kindness of our customers and the strength of our Caribbean community,” said Trevor Sadler, CEO of interCaribbean Airways. “We are grateful to everyone who contributed. By matching the amount raised, we wanted to make this support go further and help create a brighter learning space for the children of Kings Primary & Infant School.”

The new school library will play an important role in helping students return to a fuller learning experience, giving them access to books, reading materials, and a space that supports education, imagination, and growth.

“At interCaribbean Airways, connecting the Caribbean means more than connecting destinations,” added Trevor Sadler. “It also means standing with our communities when support is needed most.”

interCaribbean Airways extends its sincere thanks to every person who donated and helped make this contribution possible.  After the school reopens, interCaribbean Airways will share the story of the completed library and show how this collective support is helping children return to a brighter learning environment.
