TROPICAL STORM ELSA – July 1, 2021 – Announcement and Cancellations

Advisory 1. 1:30 pm

interCaribbean wishes to advise of Tropical Storm Else heading towards the Eastern Caribbean affecting flight operations in Barbados, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada. Other countries in the region maybe affected by the trajectory of the storm.

The following interCaribbean flights are now cancelled in anticipation of the storm

July 2nd
JY633 Tortola-Antigua
JY634 Antigua – Tortola
JY705 Dominica-St Lucia-Barbados
JY714 Barbados-St Vincent
JY717 St Vincent – Barbados
JY764 Barbados-St Vincent – Grenada
 Customers who are booked on the affected flights may reschedule their flights for the first available flight dates.  All change fees will be waived.  Customers whose plans may be uncertain, may place their tickets on hold for up to 1 year, and enjoy same class travel at a later date with no change fees when rebooking the original booking affected.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for…

* Guadeloupe

* Grenada and its dependencies

A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.

Interests elsewhere in the Windward Islands, Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti should monitor the progress of this system.  Additional watches and warnings will likely be required later today.
