TROPICAL STORM FRED – August 11, 2021 – Announcement

interCaribbean continues monitoring the track of the Tropical Storm Fred (previously named Cyclone Six) located now on the south of the Eastern Dominican Republic. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has advised a Tropical Storm Warning (within the next 12 hours) in effect for Dominican Republic on the south coast and on the north coast from the Dominican Republic/Haiti border eastward; and a Tropical Storm Watch for Turks and Caicos Islands and Southeastern Bahamas. On the forecast track, the center of Fred is expected to be near or over Hispaniola later today, move near the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas on Thursday, and move north of the northern coast of central Cuba on Friday.
