A tropical wave (AL94) is moving over the Eastern Caribbean producing showers and thunderstorms. It is expected to move west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph with expected heavy rainfall and wind gusts into Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands today and continue across the Dominican Republic tonight.
Flights in and out of The Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Bahamas may be impacted by winds and heavy rainfall over the coming 48-72 hours.
We will continue to monitor the conditions and post updates related to the weather, and any impact on flights such as airport closures or high wind speeds.
