interCaribbean Airways Announces Platinum Sponsorship and Participation in Caribbean Travel Marketplace

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, May 3, 2023 – interCaribbean Airways is pleased to announce its platinum sponsorship of, and participation in the 41st edition of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace, the premier event where tourism suppliers meet face-to-face with wholesalers from around the world to negotiate and promote Caribbean travel. The event will take place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Barbados from May 9-11th, 2023.

As part of interCaribbean Airways’ commitment to fostering regional tourism growth, the airline’s founder, Lyndon Gardiner, and CEO, Trevor Sadler, will attend and join other major traders of the region’s tourism products and services at the Marketplace event. Participants at the Caribbean’s largest annual industry event include airline representatives, hoteliers, tour operators, and other tourism traders coming together to market Caribbean tourism and travel, on the heels of what is seen as a promising revival in the tourism industry in the Caribbean.

interCaribbean’s CEO, Trevor Sadler, sees the upcoming Marketplace as a unique opportunity to network and promote the airline’s expanded presence and offerings in the Eastern Caribbean. “We are proud to be the platinum sponsor of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, an event that aligns perfectly with our mission to support the growth and development of tourism in the region. The Marketplace event is a tremendous opportunity to highlight interCaribbean’s regional presence, new and enhanced routes, increased capacity, competitive ticket prices, and larger and newer airplanes. We are proud to be able to share the strides we’ve made in the less than three years that we have been operating in the Eastern Caribbean—and we came this far in spite of, or because of, the pandemic. As we focus on building partnerships and consolidating our presence in, and commitment to the region, Marketplace is our single foremost platform to do so.”

Lyndon Gardiner, Founder and Chairman, added: “At interCaribbean, we appreciate the importance and urgency of seizing the moment, and taking advantage of every avenue we can to showcase our product and service. In a world of buyers and sellers of tourism offerings, interCaribbean has emerged as a key airline and we will do what it takes to become a household name in every Island in our Caribbean and be at the pinnacle in travel choice. The Caribbean Travel Marketplace event is one of the best places—a one-stop shop— for senior industry professionals to share insights and best practice, something that interCaribbean is excited to do, as well.”

For his part, the Chairman is also looking forward to meeting with industry experts from across the spectrum, because, he states, “as we learn and share, one never knows where inspiration may strike and what other amazing partnerships interCaribbean may exact from this experience.”

The 2023 installment of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace will mark the first time that the event is held in Barbados.
