interCaribbean Airways partners with TSA for TSA PreCheck®

 Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands – May 25, 2017.  Effective May 25th, 2017.  interCaribbean Airways is pleased to launch TSA PreCheck in concert with the United States Transport Security Administration (TSA) giving the registered traveler ease of screening at the security check point.   The registered traveler benefits from not having to remove their shoes, belts, jackets and leaving laptops in their case making the process of moving through the checkpoint substantially easier.    Visit interCaribbean.com to learn more.

Below are eligible travelers who have met one or more of the following programs for receiving TSA PreCheck:

  • U.S. Citizens who are members of a The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Traveler program, including Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS
  • Canadian Citizens who are members of NEXUS
  • U.S. Citizens who have applied and been approved for the TSA PreCheck® Application Program.
  • Any active duty, U.S. Armed Forces service members in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy, as well as the Reserves and National Guard, with a DOD ID.

Additionally, randomly, using its Secure Flight system, the TSA prescreen Passengers who are traveling, with the goal of possibly pre-clearing more Passengers to use TSA PreCheck lanes.  This latter option is a random screening process.  Accompanying passengers who are 12 years or younger are allowed through TSA PreCheck lanes when traveling with eligible passengers (parent or guardian).

interCaribbean Airways customers may enjoy TSA PreCheck on flights departing from San Juan (SJU), Puerto Rico.  The company currently flies up to three daily flights between San Juan and Tortola, as well as several flights from San Juan to Providenciales.

Trevor Sadler, CEO of interCaribbean Airways stated that this new customer service facility will enable ease of travel through the security check point for those who are a registered travel.  Reservations will need to contain a known traveler numbers in the booking prior to check in, to receive TSA PreCheck.
