Turks and Caicos Islands, 12.03pm. interCaribbean advises of a weather warning with the formation of Tropical Storm Dolly.

Tropical Storm Dolly in the Atlantic is moving to the west at 24 mph (39 km/h). Based on the forecasted track, this system should approach the Leeward Islands this weekend from 29th to 30th August.

Wind data indicate that the maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center. As Tropical Storm moves towards the Leeward Islands and onwards towards the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic and Haiti, heavy rains and flash floods can be expected.

At this time we will continue to monitor the storm, its path and advise of any affected flights and or airport closures. No changes are yet made or proposed.
